    Double your shopping pleasure at Bruised Apple Books and Music, located just down the street from Peekskill homes for sale. Stock up on new and used books as well as hard-to-find vinyl record titles. Some of the books on the shelves come from founder Scott Sailor's personal selection. If you're not quite old school, Bruised Apple also carries CDs and DVDs. With its hand-painted sign above the entrance and quirky decor features such as vintage typewriters, the charming shop is a refreshing change from generic big-box retailers. Hours are 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
