April is National Poetry Month, making it the perfect time to go explore and show some support to your local bookstores.

They call poetry the language of the soul, and for a good reason. It's one of the most beautiful art forms in existence. Poetry creates a strong connection between words and human emotion and helps us understand complex topics as well as the intricacies of the English language.

April is National Poetry Month, and Our REALTORS® are using this opportunity to discover new poets and appreciate the old, all while exploring some of Westchester County's wonderful bookstores. Thanks to our area's rich culture, we're home to some of the country's best independent bookstores. Here is a quick list of shops you can visit this April:

  • Arcade Bookstore - 9 Theodore Fremd Ave, Rye, NY 10580
Rye's only independent bookstore - Arcade Bookstore sells a wide range of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, classics, and more. Need help finding something to read? Owner Patrick Corcoran is always eager to give recommendations. Stop by and shop or order books online for in-store pickup. After you visit the store, you might want to schedule a tour of one of these Rye homes for sale.
