Lace up your skates and hit the ice at the Westchester Skating Academy. There is so much to do at this indoor ice skating rink which hosts ice skating lessons, figure skating camps, hockey camps, youth hockey leagues, and more. You can even rent the rink for children's birthday parties. This arena is a fun place for the kids, and it's conveniently located near some very nice Elmsford homes for sale.
- Westchester's Winter Wonderland Drive-Thru - 1 Bronx River Pkwy Rd, Valhalla, NY 10595
One of our favorite family wintertime activities is a drive through Westchester's Winter Wonderland. This holiday light extravaganza is a 1.2-mile drive with thousands of lights, glittering attractions, a colorful tunnel, and a spectacular 40-foot Christmas tree. Prices range from $25 to $35 per vehicle, depending on the time, and it's just down the road from our favorite Valhalla homes for sale.
- Holiday Classic Mansion Tour - 635 S Broadway, Tarrytown, NY 10591
Come see the historic Lyndhurst mansion transformed into a holiday splendor. You're sure to see some of the most festive holiday decor and perfectly decorated Christmas trees at the Holiday Classic Mansion Tour. The Lyndhurst mansion is a Gothic Revival country house situated on a 67-acre estate. During the holiday season, it looks absolutely stunning. Tickets range from $16 to $24 plus service fees.
- Victorian Christmas at the Octagon House - 45 W Clinton Ave, Irvington, NY 10533
For some of the most beautiful Christmas decorations in Westchester County, stop by the Armour-Stiner Octagon House for a Victorian Christmas. This unique building is the only fully domed octagonal residence in existence, and it's a National Historic Landmark. During the holiday tour, the interior is filled with wreaths, garlands, ornaments, and Christmas trees, and it makes for a great photo op. Tickets are $29.
- A Winter Hike Around Teatown Lake Reservation - 1600 Spring Valley Rd, Ossining, NY 10562
A great place for a snowy walk with the kids, Teatown Lake Reservation has a 1.5-mile loop trail around the lake, and it's mostly flat, making it easy to walk in the snow. Enjoy the gorgeous snow-covered scenery while getting some fresh air. Don't forget to snap a couple of pictures while you're out. You might just run into some wildlife on the trail.
