The fireplace stands out most in your home during the winter months. Here's how you can tastefully decorate it without being excessive.

Interior decorating is a favorite wintertime activity for our REALTORS®, and we've become quite the pros when it comes to sprucing up our mantles. Holiday Light Displays - Westchester County, NY - Park Sterling Realty

Winter is on its way to Westchester, which means the holidays will be here before we know it. Our REALTORS® agree that it's been a tough year for everyone and that good tidings mixed with some holiday cheer will brighten our spirits. Though holiday events will look a little different this year, you can still enjoy a magical evening with your family by driving to see these stunning holiday light displays around Westchester.

  1. Westchester's Winter Wonderland — 1 Bronx River Pkwy Rd., Valhalla, NY 10595
Since 2014, no Christmas has been complete without a stop to see the lights at Kensico Dam Plaza. Though they won't offer walking visits, you can still check out Westchester's Winter Wonderland via a drive-thru holiday light extravaganza. This affordable event features 1.2-miles of dazzling lights. Listen to their music conveniently through your car radio and wave to Santa as you pass by. If you're in the area all week inspecting Valhalla homes for sale, consider visiting the Winter Wonderland with your children multiple times as different characters make appearances each night.

Our REALTORS® think this year calls for starting some new traditions. Give family and friends a tasty surprise with one or more of these creative, non-pie Thanksgiving desserts.

  • Turkey Rice Krispie Treats
Let the kids join in the fun by giving these popular no-bake bars a holiday update. Once the treats have firmed up, use a round cookie cutter to make the circle base. Candy corn pieces form the feathers, while the face can be either melted chocolate or an inverted Hershey's kiss. Finish with a cinnamon red-hot "wattle.
